5 Activities With The Kids For 20AED Or Less

We all know that January can be tough on the wallet… so here are 5 family friendly, fun activities to get involved with this January for 20AED/person or less.

    1. The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project.
A great little gem down at The Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, it’s completely free to go along check out the rehab work going on for the turtles their. There’s feeding every Wednesday at 11am and you can also get 2hrs free parking at the Souq Madinat (10 min walk away). A great way for kids to learn about caring for other living creatures and perfect for any turtle lovers.
    2. Al Mamzar Beach Park
A cycle track / walkway plus 5 beaches to choose from, swimming pools and play parks, this has to be a family winner. It won’t break the bank either at 5-10AED/person. It is a little bit of a drive away on the Northern edge of Dubai but perfect for day trip and change of scenery.
    3. Al Fahidi Historical District.
Culture, history, free entry. A great recipe for a trip out with the kids. Have a wander around the national heritage site and browse through the small, independent stalls and cafes. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.
    4. Jumeirah Mosque Tour
At 20AED/person you can have a tour around the only mosque in Dubai open to Non-Musilms. With snacks and Arabic tea/coffee provided this is a great way to learn more about the Muslim faith as a family. Children under 12 also get free entry!
    5. Good Old Fashioned Picnic At The Beach
No list of activities would be complete without a family trip to the beach. We recommend kite beach as it’s recently been revamped and now has a kids skate park, adventure trampolines and kids gym/play area. Pack a lunch and why not make a day of it?
